To celebrate the kickoff of the college football season, Nike, Wieden+Kennedy, and Chelsea's own David Gordon Green teamed up to recreate one of our favorite collegiate scenes of all time. The University of Oregon's ties with both football and Animal House run deep - the 1978 film shot on location on the University's campus in Eugene. And during every home game, Ducks fans dance and 'Shout' to the classic Otis Day & the Knights song between the 3rd and 4th quarters. To celebrate this time-honored tradition, David Gordon Green and Wieden+Kennedy decided it was time to celebrate the strong connections between Nike, Oregon, and Animal House with this faithful homage.
The film first debuted during the Ducks' game at Michigan State, and will continue to rally fans during each home game at the Ducks Stadium itself. The piece has been featured in
Adweek,
Creativity, and
Agency Spy, and received a great feature on
Nike's news blog.
Go Ducks!
